...so that people can stop staring at my previous rant. School is approaching the end, with some 3 weeks left, roughly. And, like a spool of thread, it goes faster the closer to the end it gets. I should be able to pass all my classes, as long as I do well on most of the finals, but this semester has seriously drug for some reason. Maybe it is senioritis... maybe it is that I am somewhat isolated here. Maybe it is because I have seen my wolfhorse a total of 2 times, for a total of.. like 4 days.. this semester. That will change to 3, this weekend, but still... I miss her.. and I wish I could do more to help ease the burden life has put on her shoulders...

Half of the people who watch me probably already know.. but

was murdered in her home. she was far too young to die... I didn't know her real well, but she was one of the guilders that helped me fit in to the guild when I joined 6 years ago. When Ryask.. really became the golden gryphon. she was one of those people I looked up to, who I associated with relaxing, and pie fights, and the like. And she is gone... I only wish I had known her better...

Geography 300 is very depressing, and I strongly recommend it if you really want to get pissed off about everything wrong happening in the world. It looks at everything, the process by which governments become developed by forcing poor farmers off their farms, through underhand taxes and quotas.. these farmers then sell their farms to larger commercial farms, the efficiency goes through the floor, crop diversity is lost, all food becomes a monotone.. and those poor farmers..? oh, they work at sub minimum wage at factories, to get money to buy food most likely grown on their old farm! this is the process through which many nations develop. and this is just a hairslice about what we covered. Screw the world leaders.. screw these development models.. screw government subsidies, and keeping the market high so those rich overpaid people can get richer!

And Humboldt. Maybe part of it is being chronically raped out of so much money and yet... there are high paid officials sitting at the top of the gravy train on their THUMBS, complaining that we are in DEBT! ...FIRE half of them, and cut their 200k salary in HALF! see how much debt we are in THEN! They are in control... cause they run the institution. ...oh wait.. wait.. it is our money paying them.. doesn't that give us a right to have a say in how it is spent? why can't we march in there and demand a portion of our tuition back from these overpaid scums?

...happy news.. happy thoughts. Living off campus next semester is the plan. I am planning to land a house with some buddies, and sit on it over the summer. Could be working in Mendocino National Forest. Orrr.. I could be working somewhere else. I don't know yet. But I dislike the fact that these agencies require applications to be in by march first, and... February 13th.. and they don't get BACK to us until 2 effing weeks before the job is supposed to START! ..or they don't get back to us at all. which I find rude. ..happy thoughts. so D.K. said the Mendocino job called him, so that is hopefully a possible (he is a professor here, and one of my contacts).

I got a new truck, a Ford ranger, 1990, with 144k. Thing is awesome. Smaller than my old white tank, and it gets better mileage. and it is not about to die! and.. it will seat 4, and it has 4WD! so I can go places now! I will be posting pictures soon of it.
